Kids Korner

I stole that post title from Davis' blog. I just think it's such a funny name, especially when followed by gruesome pictures of animals that died by violent means. If you haven't showed your kids Davis' Kids Korner posts, you really should. I think you'd well there.

Also, go to my friend Layne and Jamie's blog, scroll to the bottom, hit "older posts" and watch the "New boot goofin" video on that page. Funny stuff.

Also, I know Jolynn and I are the only ones who enjoy a little classic Hip Hop, but just listen to this song and tell me it doesn't take you back to your hot summer days in Harlem, cooling off in fire hydrant spray, watching your sisters jumping double dutch, playing the fool for your buddies and watching the older boys ballin on the blacktop.
Go to
http://sharkmanbell.googlepages.com/home
and click on the Cool Song to download.

Finally, if you want to read a very funny post, go visit the Hass at http://hasselboff.blogspot.com/ and read "I can die a happy man." I love it because it combines a few of my favorite things into one post: fuzzy little David Archuletta, hilarious self-aware storytelling, creative initiative, and gay dudes. And by gay, I mean only happy.

Wow, wasn't planning on giving you all that awesome stuff when I started this post, but I'm feeling particularly generous tonight. Might have something to do with me seeing Iron Man and being fairly confident that his suit will be invented in the real world someday and find its way to me. I was born to use it.

Okay, onto my short Kids Korner question:

I'm looking for ideas from all of you on little games/activities/crafts I can do with Oliver. He's 21 months, so share stuff for that age, but also include some of your favorite things for older ages as well.

Not sure why we have google adword ads on top of our blog (Reba, did you sign up for that? Are we getting paid? Can you give Josh the sign up info?)
I love that the ad tonight is for a Reba McEntire Christmas cd. Don't know if they targeted us because they know we call Rebecca "Reba" or because they know Ange and Brennan watches the sitcom "Reba."

I live how you're inflating your comment count! You are seriously hilarious and/or crazy. I can't wait to laugh in person soon!

Btw, Rebeca, I forgot that you used to fall asleep on us! That was kind of a problem for me, (only because it was my only time to get to know you) but you've totally redeemed yourself and are the life of the party now. (Also since I've really been trying to eat well I can't seem to stay up past 10:30 anymore)

Ange, I'm just trying to create the feeling that this is a really cool, fun place to comment so that people will tell their friends what a fun post this is to comment on. Is that such a crime?

Cause I don't think it is.

I really don't.

LOL. wow thanks for all the tips to funny stuff. Love the new boot goofin, hilarious! and lol aboutjosh and the ads although that adsense is too small time for him, after he read an article about dooce a famous blogger that makes tons of money off of ads, he wanted me to contact, hp, verizon, etc... and tell them how awesome "our" (my) blog is and get them to advertise. LOL, good times can't wait to see you guys!

oh and as far as activities go, ange and macy put together this great list that is so cute and helpful for fun activities to do with your kids. Ask them to email it to you. Just one of them that is a big hit with abe is to get a big mixing bowl filled halfway with water and then putting dishsoap in and getting a mixer or spoon and making bubbles with it and then just let the kids go crazy with measuring cups, toys, anything.

Kook, I love posts like this. Thanks for sharing all that good stuff. I thought that "rap music" song wasn't that awesome, but as happens EVERY time I hear a song that sounds like no one would know it, I realize that Macy, sitting next to me, is singin right along with all the lyrics. She's crazy that way. And yeah, she wishes she was a balla.

Anyway, post more stuff like this. Now that you guys are making BANK on this blog, you need to keep it peppy. (And let's face it, without a super cool feature for awesome sidebar links, you need a chance to share some of the stuff you like once in a while).

Christian, you don't have to beef up your comments all by yourself to be cool! (c: I'm pretty sure I hardly ever just go check out random people's blogs, but whoever's blogs those are (davis and hasselboff) are pretty much the most hilarious things I've ever read. Thanks for the laugh!!!!

Chris, you are a scream. Lots of LOL's, esp. asking Rebecca on your comment page about the ads, the Josh sign up info. comment. LOL also to A, E, and R. You guys all crack me up!

I'm anxious to hear the rap song, being the devotee I am. I haven't yet been able to figure out how to play it, but hopefully will soon.

Oh my gosh, Hasselboff is hilarious. I was laughing the whole time reading it. In fact, I even made my mom read it and she thought it was great also. You may want to warn him that all your random friends (and their parents) just might start blog stalking him now...

You are generous.....wow. I am stunned by your generosity! :) My favorite past-time with the Link Doodle bug is time out. It's one of those self-defining moments where he knows who's boss and I am reminded that I am an impatient mom who needs better discipline methods. You should try it!!!
