Amber Alert

Christian bought this van about a week ago for his business and parked it outside our driveway for a couple days until we could get a roof rack, signage, and get it registered. The first morning after we bought it, my retired armed forces neighbor, whom I have spoken to all of twice shows up at my door at 9:30 (and of course I had exercised, gotten dressed and presentable at that late hour...or I might have just been in my p.j.'s) and with a somewhat concerned look on his face asked me, "Are you okay? (Pause.) It's just that there's an unmarked, parked van outside your driveway and it's been there all night." When it dawned on me what he was saying, I quickly explained that, yes, I was okay, it is our van that we just bought, etc., etc.
It's official, folks: We own a kidnapping/rapist/whatever other creepy thing van. The kind that your Mom always told you to steer clear of.

That looks exactly like the van that Ron sits in when he drives slowly around the parking lot of a few high schools out there.

Oh, that is so the van I ran from as a kid...just doing what I was told. Nice work guys!

LOL. Mace, I think I ran from that exact same van. How funny Kook. You need to at least get some signage or something to make it a LITTLE less creepy.

LOL Rebecca! And great title. Other than the image problem, nice looking van, Chris.

I was going to say- it could be an undercover FBI van and they're watching Christian for illegal activity- like swindling huge wooden rocking chairs from old people's homes.

Wait, does Kook really steal rocking chairs? That's pretty sucky, Kook.

Where I'm from that opaque white man can be only one thing: the snipe.

(To you non-D.C. folks, that means the sniper whose reign of terror shut down our lives for a few weeks.) It was always a white van that was seen rushing from the scene. I'm still very suspicious of those white vans.

Speaking of stalkers though, I used to hate people that were suspicious of stalkers. When I was a security system salesman, I would sometimes need to park in a random neighborhood and take a nap. Seems like whenever I did I'd get some neighborhood busybody knocking on my window, waking me up, asking if I was a kidnapper. Man, I hated being woken up like that.

Haha, that's funny. And it's a good thing you have such caring and nice neighbors!

Growing up my Dad told me never, ever park next to a van like that - they just slid the door open, throw you in and your gone. However, I would park next to your awesome van any day.

LOL, at least you know you have a neighbor watching out for you! And funny that everybody sees a creepy van. I grew up with those vans cuz of my dad's business so I guess I never got that weird/creepy vibe from them. Well, except of course when there were weird/creepy people in them... Hmm, maybe Christian shouldn't drive it around. j/k :)
