Baby Showers and Hummer Trucks= Happy

Christian decided it would be fun to take Oliver to the local truck and Hummer dealership. I don't even need to point out the obvious and sheer joy this brought Oliver. See for yourself.

Don't know if this was allowed, but Christian didn't let it stop him.

Pure bliss...

This is a little late, but last week or so we threw a baby shower for Rachel A.. She's due on June 11th with her first baby, a girl. So, we called in all the troops and got organized and it turned out to be such a fun, relaxed, and cute night. Rachel looks absolutely AMAZING for being 9 months pregnant. I was in charge of the desserts and games. Let me tell you, this is the first and LAST time I will ever make Oreo truffles or roll-out cookies. Rest up in the next couple weeks, Rachel- you're going to need it!:)
I had big aspirations for these cookies, but as you can see, they only half-way turned out.
Oh, but don't you worry, they tasted MUCH better than they looked.

Sad that the biggest hit of the night were the cupcakes (from a box). Note to self: In the future, keep it simple. People like it better that way anyway.

Rachel's the third from right in the black. Amazing, right?

Just a little eye candy. Can you believe the fru-fru-iness of this little number? My Mom gave this to me. I had to take a picture.

Her baby acne is finally gone! Yeah!

Eye candy indeed! She's getting cuter every day.

What is the definition of happiness? Oliver at a hummer dealership. So cute! What a creative outing for Chris to dream up.

I'm with you on the keeping it simple. I just can't stand making things that require a lot of fussing and/or time. Is this Rachel Eric's wife?

That pic of Oliver running down the row of trucks is priceless...so funny. Amelia is looking really cute lately...and your outfit at the shower is cute too. I think the Oreo truffles looks AMAZING...they look perfect. Good job on the shower. Are the sugar cookies supposed to be binkies? Just curious.

LOVE that picture of Oliver, wow that just captured his bliss. so sweet and adorable. That last picture of amelia reminds me so much of Oliver. The shower food looks amazing, I can't believe you did all that, how many different desserts did you do? super impressive.

I don't get what the cookies were. Onesies?

That girl is NOT pregnant. I even turned my computer at an angle to try to see her belly and it just doesn't exist. Sorry you threw a shower for nothing! ;)

I have a few things to say:

#1. The cupcakes were my least favorite dessert--I LOVED the Oreo truffles and that's all I ate for the next two days.
#2. The sugar cookies were equally as good and they were very cutesy and impressive!
#3. You know that is a weird picture of me and the lighting and angle make me look smaller than I really am.
I think I need to write some sort of rebuttal post. I love Oliver at the Hummer dealership--it made me laugh out loud.

That outfit from om is A-dorable. Seriously. I love it. It's all about fru-fru when you have a little girl. Cute shower. I know what you mean about the truffles. I have to do a girl shower soon. Good to get some ideas. -claire

Otto is awesome. I love how happy that made him.

Why is Amelia wearing a fish trap? I don't get it.

Oliver is so cute running down the Hummer truck aisle. So funny that he is so obsessed with cars - what a perfect place for him to run around. Love Amelia's girly outfits.
