Inauguration and Snow

Has it really only been 2 weeks since the start of 2011?? The year started off with a reunion with some of our best friends from Albuquerque that came up to Utah for the Christmas break. We enjoyed a fun, yummy lunch at Cheesecake Factory in SLC. The next day, we went up to my parent's Sundance cabin. I cleaned for the next renters while Christian and Oliver sledded off the roof and tromped around in the 4+ feet of fresh snow. And, on the 3rd we got to attend Greg's Inauguration as Lt. Governor at the Utah State Capital. It was so neat to be there at the beautiful state capital building for such an amazing event. The ceremony was so neat and inspiring.

Oliver and I went out and played in the snow in our backyard after a big snow storm.

Teaching him to make a snow angel. So funny.

After lunch at the Cheesecake Factory with the Alders, Jones, and Fears.

Don't hate on our improvised snow boots for Oliver. We only had a snow bib for a 2 year old, so we had to "lengthen" it a bit somehow. He was loving it.

Yes, the snow was THAT deep.

Waiting to sled off the roof with Christian.

At the Inauguration Ceremony.

Swearing in Greg as Lt. Gov.
