Sundance

One of my favorite places in the whole world is at Sundance, UT. My parents spend a week at our cabin up there every fall, and this year they invited Oliver and I to join them. In my opinion, there is no more beautiful time of year than early fall in Utah. The greens, red, oranges, and yellows are so amazing against the blue sky and mountains. I highly recommend a visit to the Provo Canyon anytime during the last 2 weeks of September until the middle of October. And, if you really want an experience, grab lunch at the Sundance cafe- it can't be topped. Anyway, so my Mom was selfless enough to fly out to Albuquerque to help me make the drive to Utah with Oliver. After 10 hours of pure bliss (and I really mean that- Oliver was an angel), we arrived in Provo at my sister Julie's apartment where we spent the night. The next morning, Julie cut and colored my hair (I was her first girl hair cut ever at the Paul Mitchell cosmetology school. Talk about trust...:)) We finally made it up to the cabin, but not before a stop at my fave, Bajio's for a chicken salad. We spent the rest of the week at the cabin, filled with beautiful walks/hikes/talks. It was so relaxing and nice. Christian flew out on Thursday night and we went on a hike to Stewart Falls on Friday morning before heading out to spend the rest of the weekend with the Bells (post to follow).

Those pictures are stunningly beautiful. What a great little retreat to relax before all the craziness with the Bells! It truly looks like paradise up there. We're so glad we got to see you guys and miss you already.

Beautiful! I love Sundance this time of year too!
Oliver is getting so big - he is even more cute than the last time I saw him. You need to post a picture of your hair - did Julie do a good job?

Oh Reba, what beautiful pics. Other than all the hiking and stuff, it sounds heavenly.

Man, I love Sundance. You're lucky to have a landing pad there.

That does truly sound like heaven, Rebecca! Nothing better than mountains, trees, rivers and lakes as far as I'm concerned; and yes, Braden-- hikes.

Beautiful photos. What is the river you're by w/the little falls? It looks familiar, and I think Greg and I were there last year sometime.

Oh yes, Sundance....pure bliss! Maybe we can try to attempt a 'sundance feeling' by hitting up a camp fire this weekend in the good ol' Albuquerque! Did I see your hair darker? SUPER CUTE! I can't wait to see it!

wish i could've been there. You are right...there's nothing better in the world than Sundance in the all. I was there two years ago with Grandpa H...it was so fun. And you are seriously trusting. I would NEVER have let Jules do my hair. Not saying that I won't take FULL advantage when she's done. I am just not up for experimentation. :) It looks good tho. I like the dark. Does C like it?

Awesome place, awesome post. So glad you got some R&R. We're tending Abe and Belle this weekend, and we have remarked many times about how absolutely time-consuming caring for little ones is. So, we're delighted you got a change of pace in a beautiful place with your family, too. We LOVED having you all.

Reba, where's the picture of your new hair? Your trip sounded fun and beautiful! We were lucky enough to go last year, and I agree...no place more beautiful in the fall.
